Haldwani is  a city of uttarakhand . It is known as gateway of kumaoun . It has an area of 45 square  km . It is covered by lush green forests and hills .

1- kathgodam

 

Kathgodam is covered by forest from both side .  It is the entry point for haldwani .  You can reach haldwani by train from Delhi , dehradun , rajasthan , haridwar , etc which stops in kathgodam . 

Kathgodam railway station is built by English soldiers when they ruled India . It is also the medium for transportation of goods , timber and other products by trains . 

2- shitla Devi Temple 

It is beautiful temple located outside the city , approximately 1.5 km from kathgodam railway station . It has a entry gate from where u had to walk along the stairs for 200-250 metres. It is located between the lush green forest . If u want a silent place u may visit here . For sitting here is a park and temple is very  beautiful . U can see monkeys easily here . 

3- Gaula dam 

It's a dam built in Gaula river  . Gaula River supplies water to kathgodam and haldwani . It is the main river of haldwani . The dam build here is a attractive place for tourist . Water level here increases to much height in monsoon . It is in between kathgodam and shitla Devi Temple . 

4- Amritpur 

It is a small village located near to kathgodam . It is 5 km away from kathgodam . If u are a water and nature lover , this place is best for u . Here most people go for swimming in river and enjoy a lot there . Picterique location of it , attracts the tourist and local people .

It is the most attractive shopping centre of haldwani , it has a no. Of shops this include gold gym , 2 cinema halls , clothes and food courts . 

It attracts almost all the people . Entry is free of cost . If u were in haldwani I recommend u to have a movie here . It is located 1 - 2 km away from kathgodam towards the haldwani city . 

6-  Indra Gandhi intirnational cricket  Stadium 

It is the new cricket  Stadium build in haldwani . It is a new place to visit in haldwani . It only open up on Sunday . It has a indoor stadium also for other sports . It occurs in gaula range which is also had a picturesque location . It is 1.5 km away from haldwani roadways bus stand .  The stadium I had shown in photo is not exactly the IGIC stadium . 

7- Devbhoomi adventure Land 

If u are fun lover , this place is for u . If u are here with your children's I recommend u to go there . It's the best place for fun for children . It is located in rampur road , nearly 4-5 km from haldwani roadways bus stand . U will get auto and electric rikshaw for there .
